We spent the night in Nagano, which was quite a few hours back, but much closer to the monkeys. It was quite a pretty area we stayed in, right near the temple. We discovered this cute little square area, full of restaurants and cafes, and all lit up at night with nice little trees and potted plants - it was so cute!
