I love these little signs, where people write their wishes and prayers on, and then hang them at the shrine. This being such a massive shrine, there we so so many of them! Someone has to read them all! They generally have little pictures on them, relevant to the temple! Like the ones in Shimonoseki are little puffer fish! This lady worked at the shrine, and I liked how she matches with all the red in the photo - definitely very typical of a Japanese shrine!
