We decided, as an alternative to going to the Saga Balloon festival (cancelled due to rain), we would go to this place called Dazaifu. It's an old-world town with a lovely huge shrine and lots of cute little shops, but the main things there are the shrine and it is also home to the National Museum of Kyushu, so we knew we could do something if the rain got worse! At the entrance to the Shrine was this lovely cow/bull, definitely a theme for the shrine! I had to get a photo, but getting up there to take a photo was definitely hard work, competing with everyone else to take a photo! Several people even took my photo while I was posing!

A bull in Dazaifu
