Right after we arrived, we had to go to Kencho, which is the Prefectural Office in Yamaguchi for two days of Local Orientation. It was lots of lectures again, but I did learn about this character, Chodudu, which I see EVERYWHERE! Yamaguchi Prefecture will host the NATIONAL Amature Olympics this year, and it's a mega honour and is coming up in October. This guy is the mascot, and boy is he famous! I was so excited to see a statue in the lobby, I had to have my photo!

Chodudu!
